Service Term: 1700 hours over 12 months
Placement Sites: JOSHUA (Green Bay, WI) and WAFCC (remote and site-based collaboration)
The AmeriCorps Community Justice Advocate will support the growing efforts of JOSHUA (Justice Organization Sharing Hope and United for Action) through the active social justice campaigns. This role aids in building awareness, empowering communities, and advancing solutions to disparities caused by systemic barriers. Assist the team with addressing these barriers which are rooted in systemic injustice: poverty, incarceration, racism, housing instability, and lack of access to resources. The member will have the support of two staff members at JOSHUA as well as a board of directors and three active task forces.
